ERASERHEAD Original 1979 Movie Poster, British Quad, C8.5 Very Fine to Near Mint

This is the Original (1sh) British Quad movie poster ERASERHEAD. It was used by Mainline Pictures in 1979 to promote this movie. The first US release of the movie and original US movie posters was in 1977. Later, it was released in the UK. It is not a reprint nor a reproduction.

The movie stars Jack Nance, Charlotte Stewart, Allen Joseph, Jeanne Bates, Judith Roberts, and Laura Near. The movie was directed by David Lynch.

Update August 18, 2018: This restored movie poster is rolled and linen backed and measures 31.25 x 41.80. The linen has been trimmed to the border of the poster, as there is no delineation between the outermost edge of the poster and the linen. We have added 4 photos (the last 4 photos) to this listing to demonstrate these measurements. Normally, a British Quad will measure 30" x 40", but in this case this original British Quad is just a little larger than that.

This original movie poster is graded C8.5 Very Fine. Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc. The pre-restoration grade was C8.5 Very Fine to Near Mint. Restoration only had to repair pin holes in the corners, with touchup to the Fold lines and minor touchup to several creases.

We believe that the original British Quad movie poster ERASERHEAD has excellent investment value. The different size of the British Quad from a normal U. One Sheet (27" x 41") and the high grade of the poster (C8.5) add to its investment value. Linen backing will help to ensure the continued longevity of the poster at this high grade.
