The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) ORIGINAL MOVIE FILM POSTER Paper-backed

Original rare first release 1975 cinema poster for THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, which starred Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Meat Loaf. It is a UK quad, 30 inches by 40 inches, and has been professionally backed onto paper, which makes it a little larger and simpler to have framed. It was orignally folded, as were almost all posters of that era. This poster is in excellent condition.

It hasn't had (or needed) any restoration work as it was in super condition prior to being backed. There is a tiny amount of age discolouration beginning to appear near the words of the title - I have photographed it close up and enhanced the area - see last photo. It's barely noticeable and doesn't detratct from the vivid colours and iconic art work by John Pashe. Please note that the paper backing is quite stiff and the poster has been stored rolled for many years, which is why it isn't laying completely flat in the photos. Because of the famous image on this poster, there are many reproductions and commercial reprints around.

These are generally a little smaller, measuring 27 x 36 inches instead of 30 x 40. This poster is guaranteed original. You are welcome to inspect it and collect in person if you prefer. Any questions, or if you would like more photos, please ask.

The poster is stored in acid free tissue in a dry room so not altogether sure if this foxing is new or not. It is not obvious when viewing the poster normally, only on close inspection.
