A 1984 original UK quad movie poster for. The Brother from Another Planet. This is an American low-budget science fiction film, written, directed by John Sayles and starring Joe Morton. The story centres on a black escaped slave from a faraway planet, who finds himself on the mean streets Harlem. Though the locals are put off by the slave's inability to speak, they are won over by his technical wizardry.
