This is the Original (1sh) movie poster PHANTASM. It is a British Quad. To promote this movie when it was released in 1979. It is not a reprint nor a reproduction. The movie stars Michael Baldwin, Bill Thornbury, Reggie Bannister, Kathy Lester, and Angus Scrimm.

It was directed by Don Coscarelli. This unrestored movie poster is Folded and measures 30" x 40". Most original movie posters pre 1985 are Folded. This is not considered a flaw or defect. This unrestored original movie poster is graded C8 Very Fine.

Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc. Prior to being partially restored, the poster was graded a C5 Good to Very Good (Very Good is also called Fine) or Fine condition. It is difficult to find any original movie posters pre-1985 in Mint condition. This poster is immediately ready to be framed and displayed. The overall image appears almost flawless.

The additional creasing at a couple of the cross folds can be (greatly) alleviated once the poster is laid flat and properly framed. I had to lay a whitish blanket underneath the poster since its background was so dark that it was blending into our "island" where I was taking the photos. Just so that you can see the edges of the poster well.

We feel that the original British Quad movie poster PHANTASM will hold its value. We have not seen too many British Quads of PHANTASM.
