THE SWEENEY - ORIGINAL GIANT FILM POSTER. This is a very large bus stop / subway poster, 4 Sheet / Double Quad size. Its of the 1977 SWEENEY spin-off film, starring John Thaw and Dennis Waterman. ORIGINAL POSTER THIS IS NOT A REPRODUCTION. The poster is original from 1977, so, 44 years old now and at some point it looks like it has been on someones wall, unframed.

But it has been folded up for a long time, so the colours are very fresh and strong. The yellow is really punchy. Exact measurements: 40 x 30 / 152cm x 99cm. As you can see from the pictures, the top edge has quite a lot of little tears, but luckily this doesnt stray into the printed part of the poster very much at all.

There are some browned bits of old tape on the back, over some of these tears. Generally there are no holes at all in the main body of the poster. The one exception to this is a tiny hole about 1-2mm across that I noticed from the back. However, when flat and from the front you cant see it. In short, despite the edge damage, a good framer could do a fantastic job on this and, with a frame around the edge and glass on top it would look very very good indeed.
