THE GRADUATE 1970 UK Quad poster linen-backed Mike Nichols Film/Art Gallery

Original, linen-backed British Quad poster for the 1967 classic "The Graduate", based on the book by Calder Willingham, adapted by Willingham & Buck Henry, directed by Mike Nichols and starring Dustin Hoffman, Anne Bancroft and Katharine Ross. This was Nichols' second feature film and he won an Oscar for it. The film also propelled a then-unknown Hoffman into superstardom. This great poster features the famous image of Dustin Hoffman gazing at the leg of Mrs. In August 1970 - with the film barely out of theaters - it was re-submitted to the ratings board and received the less restrictive "AA" designation.

The poster artwork on both posters is the same. Poster measures 30" x 40" inches (linen border extends about 3/4 inch all around) and condition is excellent: originally folded, it was in excellent shape prior to linen-backing; it was beautifully backed and is ready to frame! Please note that the magnets in the borders are used during the photographic process and are not pushpins or elements of the design.
