Made in the United Kingdom in the 1980s, this poster captures the essence of the classic movie and would make a great addition to any film memorabilia collection. Artoluso is an independent Art and film poster gallery in the beautiful town of Berwick upon Tweed in Northumberland (the most northerly town in England).
In addition we have prints and original works from a range of contemporary artists. We only stock original posters and occasionally Mondo prints, focussing largely on films from the 1950s to 1980s. Please see our website for our more unique pieces. Film posters were designed to be thrown away. The paper quality, especially for posters over 30 years old, is often poor which is why whilst thousands may have been printed only a small fraction survive. Grading of posters is a subjective art, can lead to unmet expectations and is not something we engage with. In our opinion, creases and edge wear are all part of the charm and are a feature of almost all posters and where they are not present it is normally a cause for at least mild suspicion on provenance. Unless it is otherwise stated, we only list posters that are suitable for display and by that we mean no edge nibbles that would not be hidden in a frame rebate or by a mount and no visible tears or separation on folds.
