Guinness advertising poster, circa 1950. This an original and vintage 30x40 British quad advertising poster for Guinness. Featuring the iconic sea-lions and executed by famed illustrator John Gilroy.

This is an original 1950's poster. It is NOT a museum shop repro. Has some edge and corner tears, the largest of these around 2 inches in length at the left hand border.

Edge pinholes, some small, light scuffs and general surface dirt and localised creasing. Essentially complete, however and with strong colours - red is the first colour to fade and here the reds appear very deep. The flaws are essentially minor. The poster should be (depending on your taste) cleaned and linen-backed. It will restore very well without a great deal of work.
