Thank you for your understanding. (1965) very rare original UK 1stR cinema quad movie poster - THE BEATLES. Measures standard UK quad crown size of approx 30 x 40 inches. Very rare original 1965 UK first-release cinema quad movie poster for the movie'Help!

This was the second film outing for The Beatles and the poster features John, Paul, George and Ringo doing semaphore poses in a similar look to the album covers, but this time each of them'standing' on a that the Fab Four are not actually spelling out the word'HELP', but the letters'NVUJ'. This was because the photographer Robert Freeman deemed that semaphore pose to be graphically better-looking! This poster is from the personal collection of a Norfolk cinema projectionist who amassed a huge collection of the original promotional material whilst working at the movie theatre from the 1960s until it closed in the'90s. Due to the fact that the posters remained with one collector from the start and were not traded around most remained in superb condition, and this one is no exception.

Overall condition - very good/excellent. A really nice example of this poster.

No tears, nicks or pin-holes. Some minor surface-creasing in places. Some small areas of minor age-related paper browning in places, but generally the whites are very pure.

Title and date written in pen on reverse which slightly shows through to the front (above the'EA' in'BEATLES'). The poster looks fantastic framed and displays to great effect as can be seen.

I've seen a few examples of this quad and this is definitely one of the nicest ones out there. I have taken several photos so that all areas of the poster can be viewed in detail. Please also see photos for your own appraisal of the general condition. Any questions or further photos required please ask. All the items I send will be very carefully packaged using strong and secure posting materials. I know people are very concerned about how something they've just bought will be packaged - especially if it's valuable and rare. I also know all too well the disappointment of receiving something damaged in the post because of lazy, cheap and shoddy packaging.

So, therefore to assure my buyers that their goods will be carefully packed, I will explain in detail below how I prepare and package my items. FLAT ITEMS such as folded posters, lobby cards, press books, etc, are put into polythene sleeves and then placed between two pieces of THICK card before being sealed in a'Do Not Bend' envelope. The extra card will make this package an absolute minimum of 10 mm thick to prevent bending. ROLLED POSTERS are placed inside a sleeve of polythene tubing and then put into a 3 inch diameter tube which has strong 2.5 mm thick walls. The poster will be cushioned at both ends inside the tube with tissue paper or bubble wrap, etc, to prevent movement.

The ends of the tube will be tape-sealed on the outside. LINEN-BACKED POSTERS and irregular sized or shaped posters will be rolled in kraft paper, and then bubble-wrapped.

Depending on the type of poster the tube may be anything between a 3 inch and 6 inch diameter. All tubes will have minimum 2.5 mm thick walls.

OTHER MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS such as collectable figures, props, etc, will be bubble-wrapped and cushioned with crushed paper or something similar inside a sturdy cardboard box. ANYTHING SEALED inside any package (polythene sleeve, cardboard, bubble-wrap, etc) is done with masking tape. I find this is strong enough to seal securely, but the low stickiness of it means it is easy to remove, and therefore will not cause any damage by accidentally sticking to the item.

Multiple items of the same type I. It may do at checkout, but I don't know for sure. This item is in the category "Films & TV\Film Memorabilia\Posters\Originals - UK Quads\Pre-1970".
