CREEPSHOW Original 1982 British Quad Movie Poster, C8.5 Very Fine/Near Mint

This is the Original (1sh) British Quad movie poster CREEPSHOW. It was used by Alpha in 1982 to promote this movie.

The first US release of the movie and original US movie posters was also in 1982, by Warner Brothers. It is not a reprint nor a reproduction. The movie stars Tom Savini, Leslie Nielsen, Ted Danson, Jon Lomar, Viveca Lindfors, Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Fritz Weaver, Stephen King, and E. It was directed by George A.

The artwork is by Tom Chantrell. This restored movie poster is rolled and linen backed and measures 30" x 40".

With the linen, it measures 31.5" x 41.25". Prior to restoration, this poster was Folded. Most original movie posters issued pre-1985 are Folded. This is not considered a flaw or a defect.

This original movie poster is graded C8.5 Very Fine to Near Mint. Original movie posters are graded as follows from the top down: C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine/Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Very Good), C4 (Good), etc.

The pre-restoration grade was C8.5 Very Fine to Near Mint. Restoration only had to repair some very minor Fold wear. Thus, this poster is very close to as pristine as when it was issued. We note that, in our experience, just about every original movie poster that is Folded and later restored and linen backed, and thus now rolled, we show some very minor signs of the previous Fold lines.

In inspecting hundreds and hundreds of restored and line backed original movie posters, the prior Fold lines are always barely visible if you look close enough and sometimes (as in this poster) at the correct angle and lighting. That said, any normal viewing of most restored and linen backed posters will not show the prior Fold lines, and that is the case with CREEPSHOW. This original British Quad movie poster of CREEPSHOW is now a gorgeous, creepy, dark movie poster. We feel that it will make a incredible and eye-catching appearance once framed and displayed.

And for lovers of CREEPSHOW , and George Romero and Stephen King, this British Quad cannot be topped. We believe that the original British Quad movie poster CREEPSHOW has excellent investment value. The different size of the British Quad (30" x 40") from a normal U. One Sheet (27" x 41") and the high grade of the poster (C8.5) add to its investment value. Linen backing will help to ensure the continued longevity of the poster at this high grade.
